This warning light indicates a problem with the power steering system. In vehicles with electric power steering, the issue may sometimes be resolved by a simple reset, similar to rebooting a computer.

What Should I Do?

• Find a safe place to stop.
• Turn off the engine.
• Wait 30 seconds, then restart the vehicle.

If the light turns off, the issue may have been temporary.

Can I drive with my EPS light on?

Yes, but with caution. If the power steering system is not functioning properly:

• Steering will become much heavier, making the vehicle harder to manoeuvre.
• Driving at high speeds (e.g. on motorways) without power steering assistance can be dangerous.
