The call handler will also arrange the recovery of the car if necessary. If a replacement hire car is required, upon approval, the call handler will pass the replacement hire car request to the relevant rental station to arrange directly with you as a matter of priority.

Please note: To get you back on the road as quickly as possible, we may not be able to provide you with a replacement car matching your original rental car.

The Europcar First Call Assist telephone number and the Europcar hire car registration number can also be given to the third party.

As part of your responsibilities under the Motability scheme, you are required to notify Direct Line of any damage sustained to the hire car while in your care. Please ensure that you call Direct Line on 0300 037 3737 to also register the claim details.

Please be aware that a £100 insurance excess may apply to damages sustained to the hire car. This will be payable to Europcar once your scheme car is returned to you.
