Hire Car Delivery Expectations

How is the delivery of the hire car arranged?

Once our Europcar station has received notification of your replacement hire car requirements they will make contact with you prior to the requested delivery date/time to take your debit/credit card information for the £1 security deposit.

In the event of any delay in the provision of your replacement hire car, the station will contact you to alert you to the initial delay. We will then make further contact once we have located a hire car for you and will take your deposit once we can confirm your delivery date and time.

Please be reminded that there may be delays in receiving your hire car and it may take up to 3 days depending on the vehicle size and the area of your hire car request. This is due to high demand for hire requests.

Your local Europcar station will contact you within 24 hours of your hire start time to discuss availability and discuss any alternative vehicles that may be available sooner. Please ensure that you are comfortable with any alternative cars being offered. If the station is unable to make contact with you before the hire is due to start, the booking will be cancelled.

Europcar will not be able to provide a replacement hire car if the deposit of £1 cannot be authorised.

What do I do if my delivery is delayed and I need further transport?

If you need urgent transport and we are unable to arrange a replacement hire car in time, please contact your booking source - Motability Operations Ltd, RAC or Direct Line Motability as they may be able to look at alternative options until a hire car can be supplied. If there are further issues relating to the delivery of your replacement hire car please advise your booking source who will raise directly with Europcar.

On delivery of the replacement hire car

Please ensure that the named driver on the booking, who is also the person responsible for the deposit, is present at the time of delivery. You must also have the credit or debit card used during the telephone booking with Europcar.

Our delivery driver will offer to check the hire car over with you and will answer any questions regarding the hire car that you may have prior to you signing for it. Any pre-existing damage will be noted on your paperwork.
