Returning Your Hire Car

You must return the hire car on the date and time agreed between yourself and the team managing the hire car at either Motability Operations Ltd, RAC or Direct Line Motability. If you need to extend the hire car, this must be authorised in advance by the team managing your hire car.

Important Note: Please be aware that the hire car will be collected within 8 working hours from the specific date and time Europcar has been notified to retrieve the vehicle. This may not be the date and time shown on your Rental Agreement.

If you prefer, you can return the hire car to any of our Europcar stations during the following hours only:

Parking and Accessibility

Please ensure the hire car is parked in a safe and accessible location at the agreed collection address that will allow us up to 8 working hours from the collection off-hire date and time to collect it without incurring any parking fines, towing, clamping, or compound charges. If these charges are incurred due to inaccessibility or unsafe parking within the 8-hour window, you will be responsible for the associated costs.

Refuelling the vehicle

All hire cars, except electric vehicles, are provided with a full tank of fuel (minus delivery & collection fuel). Please ensure that the hire car is returned to Europcar with a full tank of fuel to avoid additional charges to your credit/debit card. If Europcar refuels the vehicle, you will be charged at our standard rate per litre plus a fixed surcharge.

Electric Vehicle Returns

If you have been provided with an electric car, please ensure that it is returned with a minimum of 50% charge.
